I HAVE the honour to report that immediately on the receipt of your Lordship's espatch No. 35 of the 21st July, 1904, Sir Edward Goschen addressed a note to the anish Government in regard to the question of the infringement of British trade- arks in China, inclosing at the same time a copy of the Order in Council of the ad February, 1899, on the subject, and inquiring whether the Danish Government fould be disposed to conclude an arrangement with His Majesty's Government milar to those already existing with France, Germany, and Italy, by which subjects

those countries can be punished for infringement of British trade-marks.

I have now the honour to inclose copy of the reply which I have just received om the Danish Government. in which it is stated that they are quite prepared to ree to the proposed arrangement.

PAR une note en date du 11 Août, 1904, Sir Edward Goschen a bien voulu mander à mon prédécesseur si le Gouvernement Danois serait disposé à conclure ec le Gouvernement de Sa Majesté Britannique l'arrangement prévu par le "China, pan, and Corea (Patents, &c.) Order in Council, 1899," et tendant à assurer une Stection mutuelle en Chine aux marques de fabrique des deux pays.

En réponse, j'ai l'honneur de vous informer que le Gouvernement du Roi est tout posé à conclure l'arrangement en question.

En attendant les communications ultérieures que votre Gouvernement voudrait bien me faire à ce sujet, je saisis, &c.
